MYSTIC YOGA RETREAT
June 23-25, 2017 - Kurseong
Discover Kurseong which in Lepcha, means “Land of the white orchids” referring to the small white orchid which is prolific here. In a weekend Retreat such as this, the emphasis is not on achieving targets or tick marks, though there will be pointers to keep a sense of direction. What we look forward to is achieving a synergistic flow, community feeling and a sense of joy in all that we do.
We will practice Yoga and Meditation on a patio offering a stunning view of the tea valley, and another time call for an impromptu meditation session in the midst of a forest.
We look forward to exploring tea estates, walk through pine forest region and perhaps trek to a flowing river. In all probability, we will spend an evening at Darjeeling sipping tea and trying out freshly baked cakes. Mystic Coaches Chirashree, Sudhir, and Abhishek will travel with the participants and facilitate the Yoga and Meditation sessions on offer. They like to rejoice with all and are an integral part of the Retreat group: hiking, dining and sharing a laugh together.
Mystic Yoga Retreat is a non-smoking and a non-alcoholic event and only vegetarian meals are served.
Situated at an altitude of 4860ft., Kurseong is 51 km from Siliguri and 30 km from Darjeeling. Because of its lower elevation, Kurseong enjoys milder and very healthy climate throughout the year. It is the peace, serenity and the healthy climate that attracted many a great person to this place. Some of the famous poems and songs of Guru Rabindranath Tagore were composed in Kurseong.
Take an overnight train on Thursday evening (June 22nd) from Sealdah to NJP and transfer by Car to Kurseong hotel. While returning the group will take a late afternoon flight from Bagdogra to Kolkata on Sunday (June 25th).
The Retreat will commence at 12.0 noon on Friday and end by 12.0 noon on Sunday. The group mostly chooses to travel together for the sake of bonding and community feeling. However, if you need to have separate travel plans, you are welcome to do so.
