MYSTIC YOGA FOUNDATION

Mystic Yoga Foundation runs an animal shelter for strays and rescued animals. Our family of cats and dogs who live with us in our studios and home are now more than 125. But those who love animals can’t be selective with their love. And Kolkata has such a huge population of animals on the streets that you could befriend a cat or a dog just having tea on the road.
So those who do not reside inside the studio but interact with us daily as we go in and out of our yoga studios have an equal place in our heart. Now more than ever their food and stay have become part of our daily responsibility. We now cook more than 80kgs of rice for stray animals around Salt Lake (DL Block and CD Block, Sector V), Purnadas Road and Laketown.
While all our employees have gone back home, Pankaj, Deepak and Mukesh have generously decided to stay back and help us with this huge animal family of ours. It’s an earnest appeal to everyone, to give these animals food, some sort of shelter and some sense of security. Nature is asking us to cohabit the planet, our street animals are also a reflection on our society.
